THE PROBLEM IS RELATED TO AUTORECOVER I am almost sure that this is a bug in Microsoft Word 2011. I have been trying to figure out a solution to this problem for months. I have tried all of the suggestions and hundreds of my own.all to no avail. HOWEVER, I have discovered something that has not been mentioned here. Step 3: Note that this example is in the Final Showing Markup view. You must be in this view to see all of the comments made by the editor. If you are in an alternate view, click on the icon highlighted below and scroll to find Final Showing Markup. I have my AutoRecover set to 1 minute. Footnotes are fine until Word saves the AutoRecover information and then they disappear. I can see the blue AutoRecover progress bar flash across the status bar at the bottom of the window and immediately the footnote disappears. Can you buy just outlook for mac mac. I then reapply the footnote style and they reappear as they should until the next AutoRecover. Would someone please verify this. Hopefully we can get Microsoft to address this issue if we can demonstrate that it is a problem with Word and not the document formatting or the end user. Updated: by Computer Hope When copying text from another document or Internet web page and pasting it into Microsoft Word, Word will keep the formatting of the text. For example, if you were to copy the text on this page to a Word file, this text would remain bold, and this text would remain blue. To remove the formatting in Microsoft Word from any text highlight the text and press the shortcut key Ctrl+Spacebar. The shortcut sets the text to the default font, removes the formatting, and even removes links. Alternatively, you can use the option in Microsoft Word to paste the text with no formatting. Bonus Tip: In most versions of Windows Ctrl+Windows Key + V also pastes text as plain text.
